Palladium Information
Palladium is a rare and lustrous silvery white metal belonging to the Platinum group of metals which also includes both platinum and rhodium precious metals which are also used extensively in jewellery.
Palladium has the same colour of more traditional platinum but due to its lower density, and lower demand within industry this beautiful metal is more comparable to the price of 9ct gold than its sister metal platinum which can cost 4 times the price of palladium.
Palladium is a bright white colour and will retain its colour in wear, as it does not react with oxygen like silver; any palladium jewellery is unlikely to tarnish in normal wear. Palladium is also a natural white colour registering Grade 1 (grade 1 being the highest) matching the colour of white gold but without having to have the frequent and expensive rhodium plating associated with white gold.
All of our palladium wedding rings have a purity of 95% and carry a marking inside the ring (PD950) indicating that they are palladium and the quality of 950 parts per 1000, or 95%. Lower qualities of palladium are also available purchase in the UK but we only use the best quality at 95% purity.
Palladium wedding rings have become our most popular wedding rings for men in recent years due to their hard wearing properties, more affordable price and lack of maintenance making them an ideal solution for men with manual jobs.
Palladium rings can be sized and worked on just as easily as platinum, we are also able to lathe lines or set diamonds in to any of our palladium wedding rings.
More facts on our palladium wedding rings.

Palladium is used as an alloy in high quality white golds.
In September 2001, palladium was actually more expensive than Platinum but a huge increase in platinum prices in recent years now means that palladium is much more affordable.
